At DALMASES CULTURAL EVENTS, we promote culture and art in all its forms: hobbies, workshops, courses, collecting, cultural and artistic activities, cultural shows, painting and photography exhibitions, conferences, etc., with special emphasis on promoting flamenco and rumba culture as deeply rooted forms of expression in Catalan society.

Flamenco culture in Catalonia dates back to the mid-19th century. The greatest flamenco dancer of all time, Carmen Amaya, was originally from Somorrostro, Barcelona. A strategic port on the Mediterranean, Barcelona has all the requirements to be one of the capitals of flamenco. It has not in vain gathered the testimony of different cultures, races, and religions and boasts a Roma community rooted in the city for over 500 years. Dalmases Cultural Events has been conceived as a multifunctional space for any type of one-off event.

The Palau Dalmases is located in the heart of El Born, just a few meters from the Picasso Museum. It is one of Barcelona's best-hidden architectural treasures. A Baroque palace that currently serves as a venue for cultural events, it has a long history connected to important events in the city. Today, the palace hosts both theatrical and musical performances, as well as events promoting the arts and culture. This former palace has been transformed into a sober and warm space thanks to a renovation that has kept the vaulted ceilings, stone walls, wooden beams, and cast iron columns intact, along with a successful combination of contemporary materials. At street level, in the majestic main entrance, you can see the Baroque Solomonic columns that give the Palau Dalmases its status as a unique space. Flamenco shows are performed daily ( see here) , with a cast that has won the Certificate of Excellence 2016 - 2019 for four consecutive years, and in 2020 was considered the show within the 10% of the best attractions in the world (TRAVELLER'S CHOICE 2020)
